| So i made it here to Vincenza, Italy safe and sound. I begin inprocessing into my new unit on Monday. I will be an ammo bearer for a M-240B machine gun team in the weapons squad. So far i like it here a lot, except for being restricted to post for the next 3 weeks.
Also i got a new cell phone here and here is how you call me if you can/will make an international call:
39 is the country code for Italy
320-791-0243
I'll update more as soon as i can. |

| I've completed my Airborne training and all I have left now is 5 jumps and I will be Airborne qualified. My first jump will be Monday afternoon with 4 more to follow till Wednesday, possibly even a night jump. Here are the 34' towers we trained on....

....and a (blurry) picture of one of the 250' towers.....

....and exiting a C-130....

So 5 jumps for me and then I'll be back to Columbus OHIO (so tired of Columbus, GA) on late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
AIRBORNE!

| Well after long last I've made it over to Airborne school and will be starting up next Wednesday after the holiday weekend. During the weekend of the 4th I will be making a special guest appearance in Columbus, Ohio thanks to cheap flights on airtran and a generous Sergeant Airborne who granted me leave till the Wednesday morning formation. Hopefully I will see many of you there. Till then: Feet and knees together. AIRBORNE!
